Well somehow 2.5 months managed to fly by before my eyes.

I thought it would be a happy experience, to come to an end of an amazing adventure, much like it was when I was departing Cape Town, South Africa. This time… Things are different. Much different.

It was a happy ending saying my good byes at North Mart. I met some amazing people whom I all hope to see very soon. What was different? My baby boy.

I’m not quite sure how to end my blog here from my Iqaluit adventure. I thought I was getting good at this blogging stuff but turns out its pretty hard to blog about something that might not be so spectacular as the snow blowing in the Arctic wind or the beautiful sunsets in the African safari grounds.

Good Bye Canada!

I’m ready to leave, I’m definitely ready for my next adventure, but I am absolutely not ready to leave my nephew. I never really understood what love was, I mean sure it’s different with parents, most people can’t even fathom living life without them. But loving someone else, so quickly… Now I finally understand. I love my baby nephew so much it literally breaks my heart to leave tomorrow morning on an airplane, to leave in 2 weeks for Thailand and to see him months from now with teeth and a big boy smile walking toward me, someone who I hope he remembers.

Good Bye Canada

I am truly privileged to have been able to take the semester off from university and spend this time with my baby boy Brody.

I’ve learned a lot this trip, about family, about myself, about how to raise a baby haha.

Coming from the one person in the world who hates cold weather more than anything, I can confidently say that Northern Canada is a must visit. We as Canadians take our country for granted too often, including myself. Here I am traveling the world to find new and exhilarating experiences when our own backyards are absolutely amazing.

I know it’s an expensive flight but it’s worth a trip. Not to mention, if you have debt to pay off or even just want a change of work or a change of pace, visit Iqaluit. Great pay, amazing (some not so amazing – I got slapped in the face with garbage bags today by an old lady) people and an all round amazing experience.

Pictures soon to come, it’s been a great week with dad being up here for a visit. We went dog sledding, hiking, drinking, touring, the works! I’m officially perma-cold but it was worth every moment! 🙂

Until my life adventures turn me back towards the Arctic path, see you soon Nunavut.
