If you’re someone who likes luxury no matter where you are, then the Shaligram Residence is perfect for you. Hotel rooms, suites and apartments fill the Shaligram Residence and are the most popular at the Shaligram Hotel today.
Though I enjoy immersing myself in local culture and experiencing it in any way possible, I have to admit that I do enjoy going back at the end of the day to a place that feels like home. The Shaligram Residence (room #21) was clean, new and comfortable. The weirdest thing is that it even smelt like home! 🙂
Size of the Shaligram Residence
One room with an en suite bathroom. I didn’t imagine that the room would be as big as it was. Included was my own king size bed, office space, small love seat, kitchenette and large fridge. The size was absolutely perfect and even offers enough space to do a pre-morning workout (which I didn’t do).
Bed in the Shaligram ResidenceÂ
Three words – KING. SIZE. BED.
It was comfortable, the pillows were perfect and the sheets were so fresh and soft. I slept like a baby during my stay in the Shaligram Residence and I would definitely come back here again just for the bed alone.
Amenities at the Residence
- Office Space
- FREE morning newspaper
- Telephone
- Fridge (large)
- iPod Dock
- Electronic Pin Code Lock
- Video Displayed Door Bell
- Automatic Trash Bin
- Flat Screen TV
- And so much more!
Bathing Facilities at the Residence
The washroom was definitely the best I’ve experienced at the Shaligram Hotel. Better than your average hotel bathroom, equipped with all your basic amenities but with class. The shower was definitely my favourite, a large shower space with glass walls and a huge rainfall shower spout.
Common Area in the Residence
The entire bedroom serves as a common area. It is more like a studio flat than a hotel room if I were to explain it to a friend. Comfortable, great sun light and numerous lights in the room when the sun sets.
Overall, after a two weeks stay at the Shaligram Hotel, I have to vote the Shaligram Residence my absolute favourite hotel experience thus far in Nepal.
Though Give for Granted was a sponsored guest with the Shaligram Hotel, all thoughts and words are as always, my own.
