Day 8: Happy Hippo Lodge and the Bungee Swing

September 12th, 2012

Early morning start out for breakfast with Michelle and Micky for breakfast at Circus Circus, a restaurant beach front on a beautiful sunny day!

Bungee Swing

We learned a little more about the history of Durban, took some wild photos with sand creations (like our big comfy couch photo above – aha).

It was so neat here, had our own cute little tour of Durban in Michelle’s SWEET red mini cooper convertible and headed straight for the soccer stadium after!

Something Alicia and I fit right into. Big Rush is a company that runs bungee swinging at the top of the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.

All courtesy of Happy Hippo Lodge, Michelle and Big Rush .. I got to take part in a Guinness World Record and jump off the tallest bungee swing in the world! Yeeeeeeeeee! (check out Facebook). Second stop of the day, VICTORIA MARKET – attempt 2!

For those of you who watched our video blog yesterday…. The PeopleMover bus in Durban didn’t get us very far last night so we tried again today…. SUCCESS!

We won’t ruin the surprises for our families yet but together we spent 1600 Rand … Shopping crazy. We had a nice dinner out at Spur again with the gang – Yoni and Sapiel from Israel and Katie from Australia! Long day tomorrow meeting new friends on the BAZ BUS! Chow!
