Day 19: Island Vibe Backpackers & Lungile Lodge Backpackers & Seaview Predator Park

We had a beautiful shuttle drive to Seaview Predator Park where we did a mini game drive with our guide – saw some more giraffes, lions, tigers, zebras and many more! 🙂 Not only did we drive through the game drive but Seaview Predator Park also provided us with a lion & tiger interaction :)!

We actually got to play with these baby cubs Seaview Predator Park , saw some black cheetahs, snakes and so much more!

SouthAfrica-24

The best thing about this blogging trip for us are the excursions, it is even better when the activities are open to other backpackers so we can shuttle with all the friends we have made along the way! Just like the Seaview Predator Park 🙂 Yoni and Paul came with us to hang out with the baby cubs!

It was a nice quick Baz Bus day today and we arrived at Island Vibe Backpackers is even better to come for a week or two. There is so much to do and the place is a beach haven.

We played some beach soccer, watched the most incredible sunset we have ever seen and had a yummy pasta dinner and wine with a huge group of backpackers from all over the world :)!

21 Taking on 30 Days of South Africa Day 20: Island Vibe Backpackers September 24th, 2012 Red sky at night sailors delight, red sky at morning sailors take warning&.. Who invented this? In Canada that phrase works perfectly, in South Africa the weather is unpredictable even when it comes to that handy dandy phrase! Beauty sunset last night with red as blood skies and the weather was awful this morning. What we planned on doing was some surf lessons, horse back riding on the beach and sand boarding! (take note - we would of had some sick pictures if it didnt rain) and J Bay is the best place to do all of these excursions, the beach is gorgeous! Instead we had some yummy fruit pancakes from the hostel restaurant, took some sweet surf shots of our friends and joined the staff in their braai! Similar to Canada Day, today is Heritage Day in South Africa! Had a few drinks, ate some delicious traditional food and sat around the braai cooking on the open fire. Oh yeah& Lesson of the day: A BRAAI is similar to a BBQ, chicken and lamb cooked on an open fire with Pap (for those of you actually following the blog, pap is a corn mais dish similar to rice). We then needed to do some classic shopping. No - we actually dont like shopping but when all you hear about is the amazing sales and deals at this Billabong Outlet in J Bay, you need to check it out! After a tour around J Bay with Taise, the owner of the hostel, we went shopping! I spent 35 Cdn dollars on 2 Element shirts and a pair of Billabong pants - pretty sweet! Theres something about this place that makes you want to kick back in a blanket and relax on the beach! Im never leaving :) www.hisouthafrica.com
