If there were one place in Hamburg to make you feel right at home (or better), it would definitely be at the Adina Hotels and Apartments.
You have the comfort of the beds, English television channels and accessible kitchen like you do at home. Then there is the other way of looking at it, you have access to a spa centre including pool and fitness area, you have a delicous restaurant just below your room and wonderful room service whenever you need something.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Hamburg or anywhere across the world, definitely check out my review:
Staff
I should have just let my mother type this portion of the blog review on the Adina Hotels and Apartments in Hamburg. She complimented the receptionist many times because she was ‘so sweet’ and had ‘such a beautiful smile’. Needless to say, the partners of Adina clearly choose them right!
Room
Spacious, luxurious and yet so close to home. We had all the necessities from home like a washing machine, stove, oven, kettle and tv room. We also had all the luxuries of a hotel like towel warmers, organic lotions and soap, fresh linen and wonderful meal options. It really was the best of both worlds, if I had the option I would choose the Adina as my home any day.
Food and Drinks
I’ll admit depending on what type of traveller you are, the food options may be a little on the pricier side but boy, are they worth it! If you don’t believe me… take a look at my YouTube video of the Adina Apartment and Hotel at www.youtube.com/user/giveforgranted. More often than not my travel opportunities take me exploring the city. Our time spent at the Adina was a little different… movie marathons, swimming, relaxation and dinner at the delicious hotel restaurant.
Common Area
B.e.a.u.t.i.f.u.l. Which one? There are many different common areas in the apartment complex both indoor and outdoor. The photo below is the main entrance to the hotel but there are also patios outside, reception halls, meeting rooms and the bar/restaurant to kick back and relax in. As if the common area in my own hotel room wasn’t enough!
Location
If you’re looking to explore the tourist sites of Hamburg in an easy and stress-free way, the Adina Hotel is located in perfect proximity to all the hot spots in the city. Right outside the door steps your are a minutes walk from the hottest nightlife in the city and the infamous Saint Michaelis Church. The underground station is right outside the doorway so there is no need to worry about being caught in the rain or terrible weather. Just a station or two away is the Harbour, the Botanical Gardens, the Opera House, Town Hall and of course we can’t forget about Hamburg’s highlight – the ‘Monkebergstrasse’ shopping district. Though the actually S-Bahn itself is a little bit of a walk, you’re in the city centre already so you’re best to just start exploring by foot! My mom and I bought a city pass for transit and then realized how easy it was to explore by foot when you’re staying at the Adina Hotel in Hamburg. Surrounded by beautiful churches and just a minutes walk from a small central market and supermarket, the location is prime. If you’re arriving from the train station or airport, a taxi ride may be required depending on how much luggage you’d brought with you.

Downsides
Does it sound like there were any downsides? Not really! However, as I do want to be open and honest when I write all my blog posts I’ll mention that the one and only downside to this beautiful spacious room was the hint of cigarette smoke that lingered throughout the room during our stay. Mind you that isn’t the fault of the Adina Hotel but the inconsiderate guest before us who decided to go against hotel policy and likely smoke in the room or attempt to smoke out the window without getting caught. Other than that little mishap, everything couldn’t have been more perfect! Perhaps a few more days?? 🙂
Overall Rating
Out of my standard ranking of 5/5, I would most definitely be giving this hotel a solid 5 out of 5. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during my time in Hamburg. I felt both at home but comforted by the luxury of a hotel.
If you’re interested in staying at one of the Adina Hotels & Apartments or perhaps their main stream hotels under the NEW name of TFE Hotels, you can check it all out on their website at: www.tfehotels.com. TFE Hotels is now the larger brand name for any of the follow hotels you may have heard of before: Rendezvous Grand Hotel Australia, Adina Apartment Hotels, Medina Serviced Apartments, Vibe Hotels, Travelodge Hotels and Hotel Kurrajong Canberra.
Give for Granted was sponsored as a guest through TFE Hotels. All words and thoughts are as always, my own. For more information about visiting the TFE Hotels, feel free to visit the Toga Far East website.
