Check out how I became employed in the Arctic of Canada!

Sporting my new work uniform for North Mart in Iqaluit, Nunavut! I officially start tomorrow working in the retail department (clothing, toys, etc.)

Employed in the Arctic

Call it what you want but it’s pretty neat to be working a job here which would be a minimum wage job back in Ontario making $10.25/hour. Here, minimum wage is out of this world!

Let’s just say – my job as a recruitment coordinator working in office doesn’t have anything on this full-time retail position for North Mart!

Though I would love to spend every waking moment with my nephew and sister, it’s time for me to make some money before I move to Thailand for 4 months in January!

Working world, HERE I COME! I am finally employed in the Arctic of Canada!

Employed in the Arctic

There are plenty of wonderful opportunities in the arctic of Canada and if I were to write a whole blog post about why, it might take me a few weeks to complete. Regardless, if you’re interested in paying off some student debt and learning about your heritage here in Canada, I would highly suggest you take a trip up north whether it’s to Nunavut, Northwest Territories or any of the other northern locations in Canada!
