Travel is a very hot topic today and many people are thinking the same thing,

‘how do I get out of this job and into more exciting travels?’

The answer is simple – sacrifice.

Travel the World

If travel is really something that you are truly passionate about, then nothing can stop you. Of course I didn’t just decide one day to quit my job and travel the world, I simply wasn’t passionate about it enough at that point in time. I visited Jamaica, Cayman Islands and Peru before the serious travel bug kicked in. I asked myself so many questions before getting up and leaving, but in the end it didn’t even matter. I wasn’t happy where I was, I wasn’t satisfied, and I needed to do something about it. In my eyes, you only live your life once so why are you waiting to be happy?

Have you said the following:

– If I leave my job I won’t be able to get it back when I return
– If I leave my boyfriend/girlfriend they will break up with me
– I will travel after I have saved up the money
– I can’t travel until I do the following:_____,_____,______
– I will travel when I’m retired

The thing is, none of that really matters.

You will always find a job when you return, my mother taught me that. If you have a good personality and great confidence, then traveling the world may actually help you find a job afterwards. If you’re significant other is going to leave you, then maybe their not worth your time. Traveling is the best way to meet new people and opens you up to a whole other realm of dating possibilities (I found my love half way across the world). To travel when you have enough money, I said this everyday, I never had enough money. There is never going to be the perfect time to travel the world, the perfect time to have kids, the perfect time to get married.

Get over it.

The worst thing I hear people say is that they are saving their money up for retirement… really? REALLY?! What if I die tomorrow? then what? all of that money to travel the world saved up is gone. Travel now, don’t wait until next month, next year, the next decade. If this is really something you’re passionate about, well then the next step shouldn’t be all that hard.

Go for it!

…and let me know when you do because I love to hear other peoples travel stories 😉
