Holy Henry was my stay incredible in Stuttgart, Germany. Starting at just 28 euros for a single room, you can live in luxury during your stay in Stuttgart. A minutes walk from the U-Bahn station and only a few minutes ride to the beautiful city centre lays the Internationales Studentenhotel. Though I only stayed the one night, there are options to rent for the week or month.
Staff at the Internationales Studentenhotel
Upon arrival I was greeted by very friendly staff and promptly provided a key for my room and updated on the current information – like when to come down for breakfast and how to log-on to the WIFI. 5 floors up (yes, there was an elevator) and I was on the top floor of the hotel looking out at the city of Stuttgart. The room was incredibly large which eventually led me to spend my evening doing some much needed sit-ups and leg workouts – mind you I haven’t done this is years, so I think it’s something special. So much room for activities 😉
My favourite part of the room was most definitely the cute little packs of HARIBO gummies laid nicely on my pillows. There’s also always something special about arriving in your room and realizing you have a TV that can be seen from your bed and a light switch next to your head so you don’t have to jump back out and turn out the light. This room was so wonderfully designed, I have decided to make note for my future home – haha!
Food and Drinks
Breakfast was scrumptious! Though nothing out of the ordinary, the hotel provided you everything you would want for a complete balanced breakfast – eggs, toast, baguettes, cheese, meat, yogurt, fruit, spreads, tea, coffee, cereal, vegetables, fruit juice and much more!
Common Area in the Internationales Studentenhotel
This place has got to have the most luxurious common room I have ever seen in a student hotel. The furnishings were modern and sleek, with fur rugs and a huge screen projecting films on the wall. There are washrooms connected to the common area so you don’t have to go far, and a beautiful piano next to the lounging area.
Location of the Internationales Studentenhotel
Though out of the city, the location was perfect. The tram ride into the city was only a few minutes and it was far enough out of the city that any weekend crazed noise would be far enough away for a great nights rest.
Perks?
– HARIBO gummies on my pillow 🙂 .. yes, this is a major perk for me!
– Free WIFI across the hotel grounds [a password is required]
– A unbelievable breakfast buffet!
– Next to a great little second hand shop
– They have air conditioning in the room! (most places don’t in Germany)
Overall?
I give the Internationales Studentenhotel a wonderful 5 out of 5 stars! With affordable rates in one of Germany’s most expensive cities, I will definitely be coming back again!
